-LogicInMind has released a new application for iOS devices designed to act as an AirPlay client for sharing content with friends and family between two iOS devices. AirTuner is a universal application for the iPhone, iPod touch and iPad that allows a user’s device to receive video and photo content via AirPlay from iTunes or another iOS device.

-Some iPhone 3GS/4 and iPod touch 4G owners are complaining of severe battery drain under iOS 4.3. Multiple Apple Support Discussion threads have been dedicated to the subject, with most users reporting that turning off push services, Bluetooth, Wi-Fi, and Location Services does not help the problem. The problem appears to affect both iPhone 3GS and iPhone 4 units, as well as the iPod touch 4G, and several users have reported that they were able to eradicate the issue by performing a restore and re-populating the phone manually file by file instead of from a backup.
-iOS is throttling web apps that are saved and executed in full screen from home screen. Home screen web apps run “roughly two to two and a half times slower” as opposed to executing them directly from the Safari browser. The issue was discovered in the recently released iOS 4.3 software which updated Safari with a speedy JavaScript engine dubbed Nitro. The publication notes that the Nitro engine fails to kick in for home screen web apps while offline caching, asynchronous mode of execution and other HTML5 goodies are also off limits. Is Apple attempting to derail iOS web development in order to push native App Store programs?
-Algoriddim’s awesome djay app for iPad is now available on iPhone and iPod touch.

-Apple has refused (blocked) the VGA Adapter for new iOS because it doesn't protect movies against possible copying. Users have complained, and Apple has pushed forward on new alternatives, including the breakthrough wireless AirPlay streaming in iOS 4.2, and now a new wired option supported in iOS 4.3: the Apple Digital AV Adapter ($39).
